Step 1: Navigate to a DEX
Visit app.uniswap.org or another reputable DEX. Always verify the URL—bookmark official sites to avoid phishing.
Step 2: Connect Your Wallet
Click “Connect Wallet” and select MetaMask. Approve the connection in the popup. You’re not giving the DEX access to your funds—just allowing it to read your balance and propose transactions.
Step 3: Set Up Your Swap
Select the tokens you want to swap from and to. Enter the amount. The DEX will show you the expected output, price impact, and fees.
Step 4: Review and Confirm
Check slippage tolerance (default 0.5% usually works). Review the transaction details. If it’s your first time using a token, you’ll need to approve it first. Then confirm the swap in MetaMask.
